Forest Robots return with a new full length LP entitled, “Times When I Know You’ll Watch The Sky”. This album mixes elements from IDM, Ambient, and Electronic music to create a world of emotion. This album seamlessly consumes you right off the bat with a hypnotic and groovy rhythm inside of ‘Just Before Nightfall In The Forest’. From the first track I was already very interested in the sound and creation of this album but, it wasn’t until I heard ‘In The Late Autumn Afternoon Rainstorm’ that my curiosity peaked. This track is a journey of emotion and sound design. Each sound fits so well with the next and the track breaks down in a way you can’t fully picture. It seems like this sound just has such a moldable structure that we’re constantly introduced to new sounds and feelings. It starts evil and becomes more triumphant over time. The rhythms are so perfect throughout this whole album. Each track has a great modern day drum beat that makes the genre more obtainable to those who don’t typically enjoy it. I think any hip hop fan or R&B fan would love Forest Robots because of the inventive and groundbreaking sound created.
