Mikie Mayo is someone we have touched on multiple times in the past. He has an eccentric blend of many genres all boiling together into a beautiful melting pot of sound. His self titled “fun core” has been infectious this year with fun videos and nostalgic but, new sounds constantly coming from his mind. This year, back in September, Mikie dropped a little project full of songs from this year. “Daddy Issues” contains “Dorrance St”, “Big Couch”, and of course , “Daddy Issues”. Each song having this nostalgic but, futuristic pop punk sound. Incorporating classic guitar riffs blended with punchy drums and wild synths. For example on “Dorrance St” we get this wild turntable almost sound raging in pitch bending as Mikie reminiscing on a younger version of himself being left in tha past. The first two songs have almost a Blink-182 inspiration and then “Big Couch” seems to have almost a never shout never inspiration if anyone remembers him. With the glittery ukulele and the eccentric vocal runs. This whole tape is filled to the brim with interesting sounds and inspirations that blend so well together and come out as something new. I’m sure a lot of listeners can find a lot to love about these songs and I hope more people discover how great and well made Mikie Mayo’s work really is. It’s quick and easy listening and a high quality product from an independent effort so, if you got the time, we highly recommended clicking the link below!
Dzh drops fast-paced single “Bumper Hangin”
New Jersey MC, Dzh is back with a new addition to his “Hulk series” titled Bumper Hangin. The single was co-produced by Hvll, HUBI, and Nikola; and was mixed and mastered by Levi Hinson.
The 2-minute single follows a similar subject matter of an earlier released song “Ethic”. The message- no matter the odds or obstacles against Dzh, he still has work to get done. Inspired by an accident he got involved in last year, Dzh uses this single to mention that he didn’t get this far just to get this far, but that he kept perfecting his craft and getting better. The fast-paced feel of this track gives listeners a front row seat into the events which led to the literal bumper hanging of Dzh’s car. Dzh also uses this single to flex his lyricism and artistry.
The music video was also released a few days after the single

FaithWithFlyy: Back With A More Polished Sound and Vision.
Flyy is someone that we have reviewed in the past and after a long hiatus he’s back with a well polished sound. When we last kept up with Flyy he was super consistent and active but, as time went on we started to only see him pop up every once in a while or not at all. Flyy admittedly has been going through all the motions of life but, he’s back and after almost completely quitting music and destroying himself in the process, he’s back with a much more refined and grown art by his side. “Hot Now” is his newest single and man does it have a groove. The track starts with bouncy guitars and glamorous melodies that make you want to just lay your head back and take it all in. Rhythmic trap drums and catchy lyrics combine to make an absolute jam that we can’t recommend enough. Hopefully Flyy is here to stay.
Anto the Wayward drops chill 2-pack “Midori”
Anto the Wayward has blessed fans with the release of his new 2 pack “Midori”. The 2-pack also serves as a waterfall release for the Washington native’s debut album which he’s been working on.
“Midori” which is the first track on the project sees Anto lay out his frustrations with dating and sex as a form of self-validation on very chill production. His soothing melodies, as well as calm, mellow bars stand out on this track. The self-titled track was inspired by The Wayward’s recent split. I-5, which was first released last year, has a completely different subject matter to its counterpart. I-5 gives listeners a glimpse into Anto’s journey of life and where he is in his career. Anto uses the I-5 highway as a symbol for his journey in life. From reflecting on his past, celebrating how far he has come, as well as continuing to move, the journey is long, but Anto shows excitement for what the future holds.
Despite various subject matter, both tracks on the 2 pack focus on Anto discovering himself and his identity. With Anto the Wayward preparing his debut album, we can’t wait to see what more he has on the way.
