Alvin Tatums & Jugg King: The Mind Of The Hoodlums.

Alvin Tatums and Jugg King came together like Metro and 21 Savage on their newest record, “The Mind Of The Hoodlums”. Jugg bringing the beats and Alvin Tatums brining the catchiest lyrics of the year so far. With songs like “Sneak N’ Geek” and “Lifestyle” showing off Alvin seamlessly bouncing through verses. Hard bass and spacious melodies are the name of the game here. Every track has this almost melancholic sound to the melody and the second those drums come in, your body will just start waving. Jugg did a great job at just creating an album and not a collection of songs. This album feels like a well processed effort and the talent these two already show without any crazy help from labels — proves their spot, not only on this site but, in the industry as well. With 17 songs, it’ll be easy for you to find a few favorites. Songs such as “Permanent Vacation” and “LCA” quickly became favorite for LEMON. On both of these tracks Alvin is off of something. Switching up flows and showing off a nice range that you wouldn’t expect from every rapper. Without a doubt this tape and both of these individuals are worth checking out.

Dylan Longworth: A Crystal Clear Pop Sound to Get You Dancing.

Dylan Longworth is an artist we’ve recently come across in the past few months. With an infectious, poppy, and fun sound; Dylan creates entire worlds with soundscapes and thoughtful lyricism. In his newest single, “Feresy”, Dylan does just that while including a classic drum groove to keep the mix jumping. With help from sway* & dez forman, these three successfully captured the nostalgic feel of early 2000s Pop & R&B textures. The tune itself is well thought out and written just as well as, every single lyric. Dylan has proved himself to his peers time and time again but, this time around he has really out done himself. Without a doubt, this is a song that needs to get into your playlist before summer.

Karen.: A New Bubbly Sound To Wake You Up.

Karen is, oddly enough, a 19 year old Dominican singer and songwriter. Based in Lancaster, PA, with roots from NYC; Karen has a surge of influence and sound rushing through her blood. She says her music is for people who are just as confused with life as she is. Bringing out a bright and beautiful personality over emotional songs. Karen is a classic bedroom artist who is self taught in singing as well as, a few different instruments. She’s been working on her music since 17 and is set to release her debut EP, “Only Interesting On The Internet”. Her latest single, “DIGITAL HEAVEN” is a dive into the hectic mind of Karen. She argues with herself at the beginning as she begins to talk about how she’s trapped in her own digital heaven. A place that could also be interpreted as the internet itself. Karen goes on in the song to talk about how she’s happy with her digital heaven and even going as far as saying she’s only interesting on the internet. It’s safe to say this song with survive longer than her body can and with the glittery and bubbly sound that she gives off, Karen can easily last the test of time. We will definitely be keeping up with her as should you.

Noriaz: Raps With A Nostalgic Backing Track.

Him, Noiraz, all the way from the immaculate and start-studded Houston, Texas. He’s always shared a love for music and art, which pushed him to take music seriously 3 years ago. I has one full length solo project available on all streaming platforms , “GATES OF OASIS.” He finds inspiration from his childhood years, of the early 2000’s. His 9-track project is filled with nothing but great mixes. Chopped samples and laid back drums fill the air on almost every track. Him is also no joke when it comes to the raps. You can tell he focuses a lot of time on his writing and it works itself out to create very immersive and relatable tracks. Tracks like “EveryGoodThang” and “Big Raz 22” really show off his sound well. It’s a blast from the past and with features from artists like MAR$H, you know Noriaz is no joke. Take some time and enjoy some hard sampling for Noriaz.
