Otto Meech is back adding to his series “New & Improved” with the third installment. More crazy fun and energetic songs from Meech. From start to finish the bass is smacking and instrumentals are wavy. We’ve covered all three tapes at this point now but this is by far the best. Running for about 18 minutes with 8 songs, Meech keeps the energy constant and versatile. “No Strings” is an intense start with bright lead synths leading the instrumental. Something that really grabs your attention before “Texaco” slows everything down and takes you to a wavy world. “Wintertime” continues this blissful feeling with beautiful piano leading the feel. Already though the first three tracks Otto will have you sucked in waiting to hear the next mix. Otto is by far one of the best rappers in the scene at the moment and that’s proved by tracks like “Trail Blazer” & “Friday”. On those tracks Otto comes into his own especially well and makes truly great songs in every definition of the phrase.
Nichol G: A Fun New Mix to Keep You Going.
Caleb Gutierrez, also known as, Nichol G; is an upcoming rapper from San Antonio, Texas. Nichol has just recently began his journey as a producer and artist but, none the less, he has still got himself out there and made quite a bit of connections. Now two albums in with a third one on the way, Nichol has really felt comfortable in his art. “Yeeyee” is the most recent single and it has a fun sound with crazy instruments blending together perfectly. For starters Caleb has a lot of energy from start to finish on this track and it’s honestly infectious. The whole beat is lead by a glockenspiel type pluck sound as a very angelic flute floats through every other section. The drums just help the energy that much more with hard and fast rhythms to get you shaking. Nichol is a very talented musician and we are excited to see where he ends up not only in life but, also as he starts to experiment more with his songs and albums. He is a bright new breathe of fresh air in the scene.
Ming: Ragers Filled with Energy.
Swim Ming is a rapper and songwriter from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Around 2019, Swim decided to take his music more seriously and build a real brand around himself. Catching a lot of his inspiration from underground/ rage/ electronic/ and scream-o music from all of the world, Swim delivers a hard hitting sound with clear and concise mixes. He tries to keep his sound versatile as a result from his ADHD keeping him from focusing on one thing at a time. Ming’s newest single “Now & Later” is a classic rager with hard synth leads playing fun and exciting melodies. The drums are fast with hard hitting bass. Something to truly get you out of your seat dancing. This song is loud and abrasive but everything has it’s own space and the song comes through clear and powerful. Ming has an amazing vocal take at the end when he starts to yell and get a lot more agressive and I think this is where Ming really sets himself apart from everyone else. He has a bold voice with a bright future and we can’t wait to see where he ends up.
Marc Bravo: Another Classic Sounding Hit From a Soulful Voice.
Marc Bravo has returned with his newest single, “Make Some Room”. This track has such a great early 90s hip hop or R&B track texture. With synth lines that glide back and forth and a iconic sounding drum line. Bravo proves once again he’s ahead of the curve by putting out tracks that have a modern flair on an old sound. From the chords to the leads, this track makes you want to rock back and forth and go out to the club. Marc has always been an old soul inside of his music but, this has to be one of his most polished attempts yet. Everything fits together so well that you would be shocked to know this song came out this year!
