“Bullet Therapy” is another dive into the mind of one of our most beloved artists in the scene, swazy. Running around 18 minutes with seven tracks, swazy* returns with another sparatic and wild tape that is sure to suck you in. Even with it’s shorter runtime, “Bullet Therapy” doesn’t fail to be jam packed with a variety of performances from; somber builds inside of “Sprains” and “Close To The Sun” to hard hitting and distorted tracks such as “For My Next Trick I Need a Gun”. “They Wasn’t Ready” with it’s jungle-esq drums and tempo all the way to “On Purpose” with it’s near screaming vocal performance. Once again we meet swazy* at a crossroads of his mind where he’s almost depressively reflecting on moments in his life. Even bringing up the idea of his PTSD flaring up from reoccurring tragedy, loss, and sadness. swazy* is beyond a talent in the music scene and I hope he knows he’s loved and many can relate to a lot of his themes and ideas. That being said, I can’t think of an artist that can translate his feelings as well as swazy. Even songs like “Get Over It”, really translate the confidence swazy has in his own music while still stumbling through his vices and life expectations like, being weary of marriage. All and all, swazy* has not only done it again but, he has probably created his most mature and vulnerable piece of work yet. We couldn’t recommend this tape enough. Take 20 minutes out of your day and fall in love with a whole new artist.
