Dnoh the Human is a 26 year old producer, drummer, rapper, and song writer. His style has a heavy funk and groove to it while still taking a lofi sound. Lots of melancholy progressions with catchy rifts and drums. He recently dropped his debut EP, “The Socially Distant Bear Tape.”, based on the recently gained free time from quarantine.
This EP is filled with colorful instrumentation and well thought out structure. From guitars melted by various delays and reverbs to crispy drum recording and hard hitting breaks. Dnoh shows off his ability to create as well as, his creative mind. Each of these songs runs so well into the next but, they all have their own individual sound and mix. On “Chuh!”, you can find the guitar lead carrying the song but, by the time you get to “Sleep Cycle”, the piano seems to add the most strength to the mix as guitars flutter back and forth. Dnoh is definitely someone to keep up with. His work speaks for itself.
