Welcome back for another dose of underground music. This time I’ve got a song that, to me, sounds like if you took Stupid Horse by 100 gecs and made a genre. Eichlers did just that, branding his music as Hyperska. This is a fairly apt title as the song combines the traditional elements of both ‘hyper-pop’ and ska. The overall quality of the track is quite crisp and clean. OK COMMUTER offers very high quality sound design within the genres, from the autotuned vocals to the stabbing highs and grimey bass breakdown. This song is worth anyone’s time for a listen. This is a perfect example of what someone can do with an outrageous idea like mixing the sounds of ska and hyper-pop.
