Dynasty Carey: The Masterpiece That Took 5 Years To Get Here.
This album all started with an idea of growth and wanting to outdo himself so, Dynasty Carey took it upon himself to do just that. This tape went through so many different creative changes over time. Carey met up with a producer named Saar. At this point Carey was already working on the Tape to be but, had a new vision filling in the empty spaces as production with Saar began. They recorded quite a few songs and built a great relationship. Unfortunately, Carey had to move back home to Nashville and driving back and forth to create the tape became really time consuming for the two and they both were learning how to be better in this time period. So they decided it was better to just re-record and create a better tape. Time started to get away once again and Carey began to work on his own EPS to have things to release after the album. One of these were reflecting of some emotional moments carey was going through as he was moving into a new house. Around this time Carey met Daniel Dartiste, a fellow artist on the internet. They linked up to record and Daniel offered Carey some in depth mixing help. A lot more time went by, Carey was bouncing from one home to the next while trying to save up money and live a life worth talking about. In 5 years, Carey has multiple EPs outside of “I am not the hype”. They all had their own story and Carey wanted to focus the album the most he would so, the songs he gathered each had an energy and a similar message of “be yourself”. A lot of people now a days don’t care for their neighbor and Carey wanted to spread love and show the people around him he really cares for them and cherished every moment. This tape was a headache for him to put together but, through hard work and jumping couch to couch it finally exists and he’s proud of everything him and his friends at undefined (his music collective) created. Carey is human and has the same human struggles as many of us. No money, no car, and no place to stay some nights but, everything still came together how it was visioned. Ladies and gentlemen may I present you with the album 5 years in the making, “i am not the hype” by Dynasty Carey. This album runs a little over an hour with 20 tracks. Right when it starts, you already know you’re in for a quality ride with “One” starting with great bars and a low key sound. A nice guitar keeps the instrumental moving as Carey starts to put more emotion into his words before ending quick into one of the best tracks “foresight”. This track has some classic drums with even more classic bars from Carey. Carey’s had the bars since the day we ran into him. This track is just another example of that. “Butter” is similar to “foresight” with a classic sounding drum loop moving the track across. Atmospheric synths and string hits bring a happy sound to the track while Carey keeps it low key with his words. “strangerV1” is a new sound in the track listing with some singing from carey and a cinematic instrumental with slow piano keys and a distant keys ringing quickly in the back. It builds up to this amazing beat drop and just a beautiful sound to get your hand standing up. Very electronic and different from the previous tracks discussed. This album has so much more amazing content we could get into but, we think it would be best if you just experienced it all for yourself. When I first listened through this tape it felt like the first time I heard “Acid Rap” by chance the rapper because, it was just so catchy and iconic from the very beginning, this tape is gonna be a classic for these kids one days and I hope the whole world is given to Carey. He’s a hard working man and a true artist. Support this wave before any big timers because, this is a home grown sound with Beauty and Trauma that, all of us can relate to.
