KiDWaVY fell in love with music at a very young age. He committed his life to creating and has blended a new version of alternative hip hop. He released a video and single towards the end of 2018. His 2019 has been very eventful. He’s dropped two tapes entitled, “Handshakes N Heartache” as well as, “Broken Crayons Still Color”. His early EP, “Handshakes N Heartache” has gained quite a bit of streams and he has built a real name for himself. The tape opens up with “demon (ft. J_R!). This track it one of this most popular with melodic vocals over a hoppy up beat instrumental. KiDWaVY goes on about losing a girl he was falling for. This is something I know a lot of us can relate with because there’s always that one person we wish didn’t get away but, WaVY is painting this picture like, she is the villain and bad for him. WaVY can’t seem to decided if it’s worth it or not but, by the end of the track he kind of admits to himself and the audience that she is the one. This tape has a very versatile sound but, still keeps those classic hip hop drums around. We get a mix of guitars and punk sounds to add to the tracklist. The sound reminds us of some Lil Peep singles here and there. KiD WaVY has a lot of potential he is bringing to the table with complex lyrics and thought out rhyme schemes. He’s definitely not a joke and he has built a pretty solid resume this year. We’re excited to see what next year brings him and hope to see these tapes get some shine soon.
